Gas meter verification activity
We have outstanding capacity and a modern background.
In our verification laboratories certified by the Budapest Metropolitan Government Office, we uniquely undertake the calibration and re‑verification of metering devices in Hungary within the range of 16 l/h – 6,200 m³/h, in accordance with MID and BFKH requirements.
Verifiable metering devices
In our laboratories, we perform the verification of the following metering devices:
- residential and industrial diaphragm gas meters,
- diaphragm and ultrasonic smart gas meters,
- rotary piston and turbine gas meters,
- diaphragm and ultrasonic prepayment gas meters,
- electronic gas volume correctors.
Capacity and infrastructure
We provide our partners with industry‑leading capacity and a modern laboratory background:
- 8 verification laboratories operate under our own professional management,
- modern verification equipment for testing both standard and temperature‑compensated (TC) gas meters,
- annual verification capacity for refurbished gas meters: 120,000 units,
- annual verification capacity for new gas meters in accordance with MID: 100,000 units,
- continuous preventive maintenance, ensuring the long‑term availability of maximum capacity.
Quality assurance and international partners
Our activities are continuously supervised and periodically audited by the Budapest Metropolitan Government Office (BFKH). In order to ensure reliable measurement results, we cooperate with internationally recognized partners:
- • the calibration of our meter standards is carried out in cooperation with the Dutch metrology institute VSL,
- our high‑pressure natural gas calibration partner is RMA Mess‑ und Regeltechnik GmbH & Co. KG.
